During the project I ran into many challenges. It was supposed to be a tea pot but at the end it changed into a pitcher. It was also hard deciding what way to actually create the pitcher. I first tried the coil method about two times, and both times it didn't work out. I also tried using the mold method which also didn't work out because it ended up collapsing. I finally decided it would probably be best to use the wheel instead, and that ended up working well. Also, it took me a couple tries to make the handle and make sure it was correctly secured onto the piece so it wouldn't fall off.
Overall, I think my piece was pretty successful. It has the shape I wanted, and it was pretty smooth around the edges. What I would change in the future would probably be the colors, I would probably go for something that matched a little bit better and maybe even a little darker, or gone for more pastel colors. Also, I would try to make it into an actual tea pot, not a pitcher.
My piece is a vessel because it is functional. You can put water, or any drink in and use it as an actual pitcher. You could even use it store items if you really want to. It can be used as any type of container, which makes it a vessel piece!
