I chose the artist Shirin Abedinirad, when I was scrolling through all of the artwork, the artwork done by Shirin stood out to me the most. Shirin Abedinirad was born in 1986, in Tabriz, Iran. She studied graphic and fashion design, and she even began working as a model. In, 2010, she was chosen as the face of United Colors of Benettion F/W International Campain. She does many art pieces, but she focuses on installations and also makes a lot of videos of them which is really neat. Shirin Abedinirad uses mirrors to capture and reflect the scenery. She even has her own website at: http://www.shirinabedinirad.com/
Above is one of Abedinirad art, you can see how in the picture she uses mirrors. She makes it appear as if in the mirrors there are different scenery's from wherever the mirrors are being reflected from. That is one thing that I thought was interesting about her artwork, she can use one scenery and have it be reflected onto the mirrors and make the background a different area.
Here is another one of her pieces. This one is one of my favorites, It shows how half the box connects to one side and the other side of the box has a completely different scenery. That is another thing that drew me in, her artwork is so unique and different, I have never seen anything like it.
This is another really neat piece of her work. She put mirrors on these steps so that when you look, it reflects the sky. I think that is a creative way to reflect the sky to see it near you.
Overall, her work inspires me to go outside my box and really capture the scenery or surrounding of my artwork. It amazes me how the art is so different and makes you look at the surroundings different, and how "the sky" or "the mountains" are seemed to be a lot closer to you with the mirrors.
