Throughout all of my projects I have understood more about how " Great Artists steal" and how a lot of art isn't completely original. My understanding of original art changed from thinking it was never okay to steal, and that all art is original. I have learned that many artists may steal some ideas from other artists, but as long as they have their own input in it, it is their own. As represented in my artwork, my own work and ideas from other peoples work was mashed up.
In the first picture, I drew an elephant tea pot. Of course a tea pot is not my own idea but putting a tea pot into the shape of an elephant with its nose as the spout put my own input in it.
For the second picture, I drew Alice in Wonderland dressed as the Mad Hatter; Alice still looked like her self and she still had the shape of her original dress, but the designs and patterns was based off the Mad Hatter. Lastly, for the third picture, my partner and I incorporated old village like homes and the modern city buildings. We put them together and showed how on the old village side there is sun and blue skies, while on the city sky there is darker skies, and clouds and smoke from the pollution of cities. We took original cities and villages mashed them together and put meaning into them. This chalk art work represents a couple different subjects of history( because of the old villages, such like ones at Old Salem that people use to live in) and regular city buildings. Also the subject of the environment because we put the skies dark, and smoke coming out of the top of buildings representing all the pollution of the cities; as for the village side there's bright blue skies, the sun coming out , and although there is still smoke coming out, but that represents the smoke that a bakery would produce.

Overall, all of these projects have really opened my eyes to the use to be scary word of "stealing" although great artists steal.
